2-year engagement with European Cancer Patient Coalition
Working with ECPC and UK-based Fight Bladder Cancer, we developed the 2-year campaign to raise awareness of this common, but little spoken about, illness. Supported by the assets we developed and the media programme, the annual month-long campaigns were rolled out in partnership with patient-led organisations across Europe.
These successful Europe-wide campaigns enabled the patient voice to be heard. Understanding of this disease was improved through clear messages and patient stories. Connections between the research, medic and pharma and patient communities were enhanced together. And, by linking with partner organisations in the US and Australia, global awareness of an underfunded disease was significantly increased.
Following the second Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, with this strong foundation, the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition was launched.
